Most parents are. These are the questions we hear most often.
The topper is the moss pad that sits inside the nappy and does the absorbing: sphagnum moss wrapped in towelling, with a soft cotton waffle face and a wool backing. You swap the topper at each change, and the shell carries on. Every package includes a full set, and packs of 3, 6, 12 or 24 top you up.
Petite fits from birth to 6kg (about 0–3 months), Classic from 6 to 11kg (about 3–18 months), and Grand from 11 to 20kg (about 18 months to potty). Each package shows its size range, and the press studs fine-tune the fit within each size.
Yes. Our moss is picked over by hand, rinsed in clear water and dried slowly before it’s quilted into a topper. You can watch it happen on our Instagram, because we film the making.
Rinse, then wash warm on a gentle cycle with a plain, soap-free detergent and no fabric softener. Dry flat or on a line. Full care notes come with every package, including how to refresh the wool layer.
Wool does the job plastic does in a regular nappy. Its natural lanolin resists water while the moss topper holds wetness at the centre. Change as often as you would any cloth nappy.
Only in one hidden place. The towelling core inside the shell and topper is cotton loops on a 10% polyester base, which gives it the thickness to hold wetness. It never touches your baby’s skin, and it’s less than 5% of the fabric in each nappy by weight. Everything against the skin is linen or cotton.
